Hi Cathie, You have such a great classy figure, a true lady. I've been wearing non-custom made corsets on & off for some time over the past few months I decided I really wanted to get into tight-lacing so I ordered a few more corsets. So now I think I'd like to take the next step & get a custom corset. I live in Phoenix AZ is there anyone near here that makes good corsets?? Even LA or Vegas?? I would really like to have a pro measure me , as it's not  cheep I wanna make sure I get a perfect fit.
I was thinking about wasp creations in PA , I have ordered 2 non-custom from JC creations, but that would be a long trip.............. Any other advise such as fabric you would give a first time custom corset buyer?? Also if I do make a long trip, like to PA sould I start out with just one corset or 2 ?? I would like to have 2 but not sure how much or fast my shape will change ...

Thank you for any help/advise

Wasp Creations would be a good place to start. Initially I would get just one as that will be "closed" in short order if you are faithful. A cotton brocade would be a good fabric choice. It is sturdy but attractive and should not be too expensive. A custom corset is mandatory if you're going to be successful. Another good choice might be Melanie Talkington at Lace Embrace in Vancouver. She will be a bit more expensive but would make you a trial in muslin which you can pin and mark and send back to her. Feel free to use my name in either instance.

Hi Cathie!

I just came came across your website today, and your discipline is so great! Such a discipline in anything is to be greatly admired. I have a question, I am a plus size lady, and I live in NC as well (near Charlotte). Do you know of any good places in this area to find a good starter corset? The off the rack ones I have purchased are very uncomfortable. Thanks so much! Take Care!

If you're going to be successful you need to have a corset custom made. It need not be very expensive. Look up Wasp Creations. Feel free to tell Amy Crowder that I recommended her. She can make a sturdy corset to your measurements.. Do get back to me.

Hi Cathie,

I have been reading and looking at the pictures on your web site and may I say that waist size of yours is so so amazingly small. By what I have read I see you have been doing this for same years now. The reason for contacting you is that I see you have meet Jutta Van Ginkel, I wonder if it is possible to put me in contact with her if you have a contact , as I can not find a web site if she has one or could you just pass on my E mail address on to her to contact me.

I have not seen Jutta for several years and am sorry to tell you I have lost touch with her.

Cathie,

Thanks for all that you have done for the corset community. Question not to be critical. Your tummy seems to be protruding more now than earlier years, Is this due to long time corset wearing? Also noticed in your 2001 LGM ball photos you are pictured with Claudia..Is she single? Thanks for your time.

Different corsets produce different silhouettes. Also, a gain or loss of a few pounds makes a difference.

Re Claudio: She was married then but I have no idea of her current status.

Dear Ms. Jung,

I saw you on 20/20 the other night and couldn't believe my eyes! Scarlett O'Hara would be so jealous! I am a 36 year old mother of two and have never enjoyed having a waist. I am short waisted and tend to carry my weight in my front and I have struggled more since having my children. At my skinniest, my waist was still around 29". I do not have aspirations to have a 15" waist so don't worry, your record is safe:) I was simply wowed by the fact that you began wearing a corset when you turned forty and was inspired by your waist reduction since that time. A corset never occurred to me! I would love to purchase a corset and would like to know where and what kind and how much should I expect to pay for one. I would appreciate any recommendation(s) that you might have. Thanks for your time.

Thanks for your note. I'd be happy to give you some hints. Do you mind telling me where you live so I can give you the best advice for a supplier. You do need to have a custom made corset if you are going to be successful. I look forward to hearing from you.
