I was interested to read your faqs about using Tegaderm to protect the skin. My wife Janette tightlaces and we tried Tegaderm. The product was good at providing protection for the skin from the pressure of the corset and hotspots, however the outer edge of the Tegaderm dressing left her skin with a nasty red outline. Have you any thoughts how we can avoid this?
Sorry to be so tardy in replying. The "trick" with the tegaderm is not to stretch or pull it when putting it on but to simply lay it on without stressing it or the skin. If you're concerned about coverage use a larger size. Try it this way and see if it helps. My skin is generally very sensitive (I can't use any of those skin patches). Don't hesitate to communicate further and do keep us informed.

I have been looking all over trying to find a place to buy a corset since I saw you on television years ago with your little waist. Before I was pregnant my waist was absolutely flat and that was even at the age of 40. Now I have a 4 year old and a 40 inch waist. It is extremely uncomfortable for me. I am 5' 7", and weigh 160 lbs. I'm not a very large woman but I look like I am 9 months pregnant. I hope you can help me. Please let me know what corset to buy and where I can buy it from. With a 40 inch waist, where's a girl like me to go?
I am so uncomfortable, as I feel my ribs digging into my sides and can hardly sit at all. I feel like I am going to rip apart. I can't stand all this bigness as I am not used to having to lead my life in this way. Please help me. Thank you.
I don't know how much help I can be. To be successful you really need to have a corset custom made. There are numerous places where you can have a basic corset made. Look under corsets on the web and you will find many suppliers in many price ranges. I will be happy to consult with you further after you have narrowed down your choices.

Dear Cathie:
Just wanted to let you know your corseted figure is truly amazing.
I have a few questions:
1. I have read in your biography that your un corseted waist is 21 inches. Is that correct? I have read that someone who corsets 24/7 maintains that corseted shape for a short time after the corset is removed.
2. How long does it take you to lace into you corset. Do you lace slowly with a few lacing tours so you don't lace too quickly?
3. Do you or can you lace it without help?
Hope to hear from you soon.
It doesn't take much time at all to lace into a corset as normally I have not been "out" for any length of time. If I have, then I will tighten it again after a short time.
Uncorsetted waist is twenty-one when I take off my corset. If for any reason I leave it off for an extended time it will expand to twenty-two.
I can put the corset on by myself for daily wear and tighten it by putting the "pullers" over a door knob. If it is a costume corset or something special, my husband will do the honors.
